- Average daily census - 72 patients, excluding newborns. Average length of stay – 2.7 days
- As of the pay period ending on June 30, 2008, SMH was employing 1135 workers, including full-time, part-time, and float pool. Approximately 83% of all employees live in
St. Mary's County.
- Medical staff of 268, including 84 active, 31 courtesy, 32 consulting, 29 Allied Health and 28 Emeritus physicians. Average physician age is 47.9. Overwhelming majority are
board certified.
- Receiving a majority of its income from third party payors as shown in the Payor Mix chart.
- Provided more than $6.4 million in uncompensated services to the citizens of St. Mary's County over the past fiscal year.
- A total of 1,093 babies delivered at St. Mary's Hospital during the year.
