The Board of Directors at St. Mary's Hospital is a volunteer body dedicated to fulfilling the mission, vision and values of the Hospital. Twelve members of the community are elected to three-year terms by the members of the St. Mary's Hospital Corporation. Four other members are appointed from related groups, including the Medical Staff, the Auxiliary, and the employees of St. Mary's Hospital.

All of the present Board members have experience on other boards or public committees, many related to the healthcare industry. The board members also have extensive professional and business achievements and leadership skills. Their objectivity, commitment of time, and dedication to the community all play an important role in the success of the Board.

Over the past several years, the Board has guided the Hospital toward several important goals. They have completed a successful building program for SMH, worked to expand the array of medical specialties on staff, created a healthy fiscal base for growth and development, and directed the hospital toward the acquisition of many cutting-edge technologies.
