Student Internships: Back to School with New Experiences
A telling sign that summer has arrived at St. Mary’s Hospital is the medley of new and smiling faces throughout the hallways and departments – the ever-growing summer intern workforce.
The St. Mary's Hospital Summer Internship program is an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience working in a hospital environment while earning a salary. From Human Resources and Environmental Services to Imaging and Perioperative Services, departments throughout St. Mary's Hospital participate in this unique program.
For several years, the hospital has offered internships to students as an opportunity to experience working in a professional healthcare environment. Working with the interns is one of the employees' favorite projects of the year. The students are excited and eager to pick a career path. St. Mary’s Hospital is committed to doing its part in helping “grow our own” workforce for the future.
