Expansion Projects Near Completion
If you’ve driven by the hospital lately, you’ve undoubtedly noticed a few changes. Over the last year, we’ve undertaken an enormous project near our Emergency Department. There are many exciting aspects to this expansion – several of which have already been completed. Just recently, our new ambulance bay was opened. Designed to give emergency medical personnel better access, the bay is wider and was designed to effectively handle a mass casualty incident.
Here are a few of our most recent happenings:
- An imaging suite dedicated solely to providing radiology services for ECC patients is now complete. For Emergency Department patients requiring x-rays, this equates to faster turnaround time.
- Both the new 64-slice CT scanner and new MRI equipment are been successfully installed near the Emergency Care Center.
- The Sexual Assault Forensic Examination (SAFE) room has been constructed.
- An additional Fast Track room is now available for patients.
- A specialized decontamination room has been added for the safety of our patients.
As progress continues, we look forward to sharing our news with you!
