Camp Sunrise Summer 2010
Hospice of St. Mary's held its 6th annual children's bereavement weekend, Camp Sunrise, on June 13 and 14 at the historic Sotterley Plantation in Hollywood, MD. Seventeen children, ages 6 - 12 were able to participate in this free camp. The children had endured differing losses- from moms and dads, to grandparents and an uncle. The two days were filled with small group work where the children shared their feelings through the creation of memory books, special pictures, storytelling and other arts and crafts. In addition to the grief work, the children had fun with traditional camp activities like face painting, sports, and water play. For more information or to register, please call 301-994-3078.

Festival of Trees November 27, 2010
Hospice of St. Mary's invites you to celebrate the holidays and participate in the 3rd Annual Festival of Trees to be held on November 27, 2010. Hospice invites all to participate by sponsoring a tree, decorating a tree or just coming by and looking at the lavishly decorated trees! There will be entertainment, visits with Santa, and 20+ vendors to fulfill all the gifts on your wish list! All funds from this wonderful event support Hospice House of St. Mary's. Summer Challenge Cruising Event & Party August 28, 2010
Mark your calendar for the Summer Challenge Cruising Event and Party on Saturday, August 28, 2010. Cruising takes place on the Patuxent River at 1:30 p.m. with the after-party at Zahniser's in Solomons at 5:00 p.m. This "for fun" event benefits Hospice of St. Mary's, Calvert Hospice, Southern Maryland Sailing Foundation and Prince Frederick Rotary Scholarship Fund.
