Nutrition Therapy
Food can make a significant difference in how the body resists, fights, or lives well with many diseases. Nutrition therapy can help control such disease as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, renal disease, and obesity.
St. Mary's Hospital's outpatient dietitian provides tools and information to convert a physician's diet order to your dining table. The dietitian can explain the relationship between food and a given disease state. She will then look at what you normally eat and assist you in identifying changes you can make to help control your disease.
Nutrition therapy is available by appointment Monday through Friday at St. Mary's Hospital. Please call the
Health Connections center for information or to schedule an appointment.
