St. Mary's Hospital operating rooms are fully equipped for a variety of innovative surgical procedures. Our perioperative nursing staff is highly trained in orthopedics, ophthalmology, gynecology, urology, vascular and general surgery. This expertise helps them better care for patients before surgery, assist surgeons in the operating room and anticipate patients' needs during the recovery process.
The Ambulatory Surgery Center
Many surgical procedures are performed on an outpatient basis. If you and your doctor have discussed this option, we encourage you to utilize the St. Mary's Hospital Ambulatory Surgery Center. Conveniently located on the ground floor of the hospital, the center offers area residents the option of going home the same day that a surgery has been performed. Following your procedure, you will be transferred to a recovery area where the Ambulatory Surgery Center's specially trained nursing staff will do their best to make the remainder of your stay comfortable.
